Ahead of the forthcoming New York Auto Show, Audi confirmed the debut of its most powerful TT, the 2018 TT RS Coupe. The imposing model is going to enter the U.S. automotive market with a starting price of $64,900.
For this price, U.S. buyers will get a fuel-efficient brutal vehicle with a rather futuristic interface making 400 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Powered by a 2.5-liter single-turbo five-cylinder TFSI engine, that has been re-engineered smartly, mated to an AWD setup and a seven-speed gearbox, the spectacular TT RS can scoot from 0 to 60mph in just 3.6 seconds and sprint a top speed of 155mph which can easily be sky-scraped to 174mph if buyers will order the more potent Dynamic Plus package optionally. There is also a branded lightweight technology along with all the performance bits and high-tech highlights. The latter includes Audi Drive Select system with four effective drive modes, the branded exhaust system, standard eight-piston front brake calipers (carbon ceramic braking pack will be offered optionally as well as Black Optic Pack), full LED tail- and headlights, and climate control system built into the vents. After its New York debut, the TT RS is expected to hit sales dealers this spring.
