More ponies, more money: Porsche announces its new 3.0S Powerkit package covering the 911 Targa 4S and both 911 Carrera S and 4S. The exclusive option package involves extra 30 horsepower (and the total output will be honest 450hp), an improved brake cooling system, a sport exhaust, a pair of larger turbochargers, the Sport Chrono Package as well as some exterior tidbits like fresh color options or optional data packages. If your S-model is already equipped with the Sport Chrono package, the carmaker will offer the new 3.0S Powerkit as a retrofit option for your beastie.
It is self-evident that you gonna have to pay more for this package, and you shouldn’t expect it to be cheap. Extra $12,350 you have to pony up for the 911s’ pack coming with the standard seven-speed manual gearbox. This price is up to $12,870 for 911s coming with the PDK dual-clutch transmission.
