MINI has announced the limited-edition John Cooper Works Tuning Kit for two MINI Cooper S models, the Clubman and the Countryman, at the current SEMA. Alongside with it, MINI unveiled the stylish and retroactive exclusive-painted Ice Blue package based on the Cooper S hardtop with a panoramic sunroof. The latter will cost $29,450 and will be offered in the U.S. only; the tuning kit will reach at least $1,950.
If compared to the previous 189-hp, the fresh JCW treatment jumps the power up to 208 horsepower from the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, bumping also the torque to 221 lb-ft. In addition to some added performance and some classy aftermarket components, the juicy kit gets carbon fiber exhaust tips along with a Bluetooth-actuated exhaust valve system for two Sport and Sport + modes, to enhance responsiveness and to better the engine’s sound a bit.
