The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept: A Streamlined All-Electric Beauty Revealed

Mercedes used the 2016 Concours d’Elegance as a fabulous chance to get some attention for their fresh sheet metal. Called the Vision Mercedes Maybach 6, this luxury-class two-door coupe is actually believed to represent an ultra-stylish vision of how Mercedes defines itself in terms of design in the near future.

With the all-electric Vision 6, it seems that the carmaker was intended to keep the spirit of iconic by-gone aero coupes while also focusing on the Mercedes-ish peculiar design philosophy. The first thing that salutes the eye is its extremely long – 18.5 foot long – hood along with a prominent grille with 25 chrome struts, an ultra-low roof line and an extended tail overhang, to embody so-called retro-futuristic aesthetics.  The design however meets the aerodynamic requirements as the 738-hp concept features AWD and is said to sprint 0-62 time in around 4 seconds while the car is claimed to provide a driving range of 200 miles, with the option to be recharged wirelessly.

As for the interior, I’m running out of words to describe a “refined yachting look” properly. It’s all about modernity along with comfort. Gargantuan screens with the front windshield display across the lower glass the driving and geographical data digitally and could be operated via gestures. Elm wood trim and white leather seats create a look of ultra-futuristic surroundings in a definitely artistic way.
