2016 New York Auto Show is already about in the books. Those who expected the head-spinning concepts or astounding supercars to be debuted there should have got definitely disappointed. This year, not so much noteworthy vehicles were on display on the show floor. However, we, guys, have overviewed here plenty of new metals from the top carmakers worldwide. In fact, the closure of this important event in the world auto industry is believed to be a long breakout, i.e. the end of the current show season till the 2016 Paris Motors will open floodgates to the visitors. Well, follow, please, our “best of the best” favs for the actual must-see models.

A is for… hmmm…let us deal with both A-automakers.
Let’s start with Audi that means 2017 Audi R8 Spyder. The Big Apple debutant, the striking 2017 Spyder represents a convertible R8 version. The open-top roadster features carbon fibre and aluminum components sprinting 0-62 time in less than 4 seconds delivering 540hp.

Next will be Acura with the NSX GT3. Apart from the 2017 Acura MDX, the automaker rolls in the twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 race NSX supercar to slate for homologation an a GT3 race car. No one can deny the fact the mind-blowing NSX looks almost perfect for a road-going vehicle, with announced ultimate performance capabilities and super lightweight multi-composite body.

Lincoln Navigator is up next. Wider and more spacious, the sensational 400hp-Navigator concept made waves at this show, featuring a bold exterior, cosmic wheels, much-chrome design and impressive gullwing doors. The latter wowed attendees; though, this dramatic pattern is used for show only, not for the future production version.

Mazda continues to astonish us at automotive events. 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF literally has knocked the socks off! The stunning “Retractable Fastback” features a power-retractable automatic targa roof and the same cargo space amount compared to the soft top version. In other words, a true fastback 155hp-coupe with a breathtaking hide-away roof panel, and it is strikingly fabulous!

Last but not least is Toyota, with 2017 Prius Prime plug-in on display. The new plug-in Prime version promises to be more efficient as well as green, with impressive-looking 22 miles of EV range. To increase the performance, the model is equipped the totally new 8.8kWh lithium-ion battery which is considered to be the most prominent modification compared to the previous plug-in hybrid. Meet the 2017 Prius Prime in your dealership this fall!
