In Full Feather: Enthusiasts Showing 2017 VW Concepts Fleet at SoWo
Volkswagen has recently dropped five 2017 enthusiasts-crafted concepts at the current Southern Worthersee (SoWo). The annual automotive SoWo event is held in Georgia, U.S., and this year in Savannah Volkswagen calls the shots putting on display a raft of enthusiast-targeted models. Would you like to take a closer look to plenty of body kits and big wheels?
Jetta GLI Nardo Concept
Due to its growing popularity in the U.S., the badass Getta GLI leads up the ball and this comes as no surprise considering the model combines Golf GTI styling with Jetta practicality. Riding on Tarmac FF01 Flow Form wheels and fitted with H&R Springs Street Performance coilovers, the Jetta GLI is wrapped in Audi-taken Nardo Grey looking both stylish and savvy. Definitely deserves a special mention.
Golf R Heritage Concept
Fly the flag, the ass-kicking Golf R Heritage says sporting a vintage racing-inspired stripe package with a rocker stripe accent in the colors of black-red-and gold Dienstflagge. Due to the sporty H&R springs, the concept has been lowered, and it is actually the main tuning change. Sitting on Vossen VWS-1 Wheels in polished silver and matte gunmetal, the Heritage concept wears also BFGoodrich G-Force A\2 tires providing extra grip. Pretty hot and juicy to drive.
Beetle Post Concept
The Beetle Post was named as a tribute to Alise Post, a BMX-winning rider who helped to design this concept. Based on the R-Line trim at its heart, the hotshot Beetle is wrapped in flamboyant Habanero Orange with contrasting retro-styled dark lettering. Dropping it closer to the ground, the fabulous concept adds H&R Springs Street Performance coilover suspension, 19-inch Mr. Drama Queen wheels by Radi8 and… two custom GW bikes on the roof to outfit the car. You down?
Golf Alltrack Country Concept
Meet the spirit of adventures with the Alltrack Country concept. Spinning off the third-gen Golf Country, the model follows the sporty trend featuring a wide array of useful adds-on like Thule T2 Pro XT mounted bike racks, a multi-functional tent system with a flexible solar panel mounted on the roof, and even an entertainment solar-charged center with extra onboard batteries in the trunk. For extra ground clearance, the all-wheel-drive vehicle adds a 2-inch suspension lift rolling on 15-inch wheels with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tyres. Camping-killa!
Golf GTI RS Concept
Another fly ass Golf model, the GTI RS concept was created by Sam Dobbins, Creative Director at Vossen Wheels. Packing a wide body kit, inspired by a Japanese Rocket Bunny one, the concept sits on Vossen (you betcha!) wheels adding a Thule carrier box for storage with a set of custom low-profile crossbars. Inside, race-inspired scarlet-red seats along with a polished aluminum floorpan hog the limelight in the stripped interior. Just a GTI killswitch!
