That’s How 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Will Look Like After Midcycle Refresh

The sixth-gen 2019 Chevrolet Camaro shows us its restyled face after a round of mild updates. For the next model year, a facelifted Camaro will feature a bunch of new tech options, several visual tweaks focused at enhancing the vehicle’s aerodynamics and the new 1LE performance package. There aren’t too many mechanical modifications as well as changes in the power department, though the Camaro came never short of performance. Well, refresh is good, yet it could be better.

For 2019, the Camaro gets a restyled front fascia, reshaped taillights, a massive black grille to optimize better cooling, LED headlights and a tweaked rear bumper. As a result, the Camaro now stands out visually with its streamlined look. The next great modification to the lineup is the availability of the 1LE performance package with the base 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine to produce 275 horses and 295 lb-ft of torque. It means you can get a track-oriented version including Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, Recaro bucket seats, 20-inch wheels wrapped in summer tires, and driver-selectable new modes, Track and Competition ones. The top-level V8 SS still makes 455 ponies and 455 pound-feet of torque while the Camaro comes powered with a 3.6-liter V6 that is still good for 355hp and 284 lb-ft of torque. Opting for the ZL1 powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, you’ll get fair 650 horses and 650 lb-ft of torque from your Chevy. And the latter boasts an optional Ford-developed 10-speed automatic transmission. We wonder if Chevrolet let us spend much for such speed.
