2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe Boosted Higher Performance
Paris Auto Show is coming, and it means a whole slew of new metals for fans. In that way, the German brand has just revealed the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 Coupe dropping its cover ahead of the forthcoming auto show. This fastback crossover comes actually with almost no wonder to the fans as this model derivates from the well-known GLC300 crossover. What’s good from Affalterbach this time? We have been given a quick glimpse at this black German gimmick with a sportier look.
The first highly-anticipated detail is considered to be higher performance. The carmaker added some, to compete on an equal footing with the supercharged killer Jaguar F-Pace or the BMW X4 M40i, the sporty tall wagon, not to mention the Audi SQ5. The GLC43 Coupe is powered by a twin-Turbo 3.0-litre V6, just the same engine from the regular GLC43s lineup delivering 362 ponies as well. Compared to the other Mercedes models, this one gets the upgraded 4MATIC AWD rear-biased system with a 31:69 front-to-rear torque split, a modified quick-shifter version of 9-speed automatic transmission and an AMG Sport version of the standard Air Body Control (air suspension system) to provide best grand clearance while off-road driving.
A real must-have to use as it provides much more precise shift. The strong steering has been built definitely more aggressive too. The full AMG appearance package surely puts smiles on fans’ faces: it includes bespoke front and rear fascias, a diamond-pattern grille, a huge rear spoiler, dark black trim bits along with the AMG 20’wheels. Before its debut expected in late September, this beastie could sprint from 0 to 60mph in fair 4.8 seconds (though it is still worse than the BMW rival with 4.7 seconds).
