2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit SUV Joins Police Car Fleet
Now at your service – Dodge wowed the world recently with the unveiling of its latest law enforcing wheels, the killer-spec 2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit SUV. A midsize pursuit version of the Durango seems to become some serious power to keep up local criminals, with 220-amp alternator, 8.1-inches of ground clearance, beefier brakes, three-zone climate control system (by the way, the latter is K-9 friendly) and some special modifications for police operations.
Water pump along with oil cooler, a two-speed transfer case for enhanced off-road capability and a tow capacity of 7,200 pounds are also included. Despite the waves of high interest around the police SUV, Dodge has announced the 2018 Durango Pursuit will be offered with a limited time.
Packing 360 horses and 390 lb-ft of torque, the police SUV is rated for high speed use and is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission; on police models, rear-biased AWD system is standard. You can’t run from this thing!
