2019 Chevy Silverado Making 310 Horses with New 2.7-Liter Turbocharged Four-Cylinder
Pickup wars go on: being among the highlights of the Detroit Auto Show and announced to be the best-performing diesel in its segment, the 2019 Chevy Silverado features the full list of top-line options and looks definitely distinctive. Along with this, the Chevy pickup rides and an all-new platform and astonishes with the new drivetrain option.
As you may remember, for the new truck, a host of engine choices and trim options will be available including both a 5.3-liter and a 6.2-liter V8 that will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Not to mention a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel inline-six engine. The 4.3-liter V6 will be available as the base engine that makes 305 lb-ft and 285 horses. The new engine option will be a 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four with stop-start tech that produces 348 lb-ft of torque and 310 ponies. Engines have been also updated with GM’s shut-off tech and Dynamic Fuel Management system.
