2019 GMC Sierra AT4 Getting Ready for Rough Terrain
Revealed ahead of the upcoming NAIAS, the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 could surely be the perfect off-road version of the crazy popular pickup truck for either muddy off-roading or rocky trails. Need some rough terrain to check your truck rugged enough? To help you get most out of your drive, GMC launches the Sierra AT4 setting also the start of the AT brand in the lineup.
The upscale four-wheel-drive truck shares its base with 2019 Chevrolet Silverado rolling on either 18- or 20-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear mud-ready rubber. The AT4 benefits from a 5.3-liter V8 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission; though, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six and a 6.2-liter V8 paired to a ten-speed automatic gearbox will be available. Still waiting for the numbers of torque outputs and horsepower, however.
Among the convenience features, the CarbonPro pickup cargo bed stands out; the latter is aimed to replace the standard inner panels with a lightweight carbon-fiber composite. GMC claimed it to be the most durable bed box in the segment, by the way. The AT4 also makes use of the MultiPro tailgate that’s just going easy on your loading or unloading.
