A 595bhp Aston Martin Rapide AMR Is On The Way!
Dubbed the Rapide AMR (which stands for Aston Martin Racing), a production version of a high-performance sedan will surely become a rough hardcore – lower, more powerful and more aggressive, too. Powered by an upgraded naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12, that pumps out beefier 595 horsepower along with 465 lb-ft of torque, the sedan quotes a top speed of 205mph and sprints from the standstill to 62mph in 4.4 seconds. On offer now, though, the sedan will be limited to just 210 units, for the $240,000 entry-level price.
Inspired by the Vantage AMR Pro, the Rapide AMR features a racier look boosted by the new aerodynamic body kit, huge 21-inch forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Super Sport tires, gargantuan carbon ceramic brakes (fitted for the Rapide at first) and a fresh front Zagato-styled grille along with carbon-fiber splitter, rear diffuser and sills. There’s also a new hood made from carbon fibre too, with large vents. The AMR performance trim boasts Lime Green accents and stripes swirling around AM racing liveries, a One-77 steering wheel, and yet more carbon fiber add-ons inside including door handles or a center console. First Rapides are expected to each customers in late 2018.
