600-hp DB11 Set to Debut at Palexpo
Thanks to Carscoops, we know now what the Tuesday Aston Martin gimmick will look like. Today (or probably tomorrow), Aston is going to premiere its DB11 super coupe. So it would seem to turn over a new leaf for the British carmaker to gain from the Mercedes partnership.
According to the images leaked, it becomes apparent that the previous DB10 concept spotted in Spectre movie, has dramatically affected the whole DB11 appearance. However, the latter is based on the VH platform having dropped out the AMG architecture. The roof and the arches seem to be taken from the DBX crossover; the larger grille with bolder details bears the impact of the Centenary Edition concept. As a result, the 600-hp coupe runs on a practical level more, as contrasted to high-end futuristic Bondiana concepts. Worse luck, there’s no news about the vehicle inside – the DB11 is supposed to have a common electrical stuffing (like the digital instrument panel) with the German S-Class Coupe model. Along with that, a new 5.2-litre twin Turbo V12 has been confirmed by the brand.
