All-terrain Ariel Nomad made its debut

Gorgeous Nomad off-roader debuted at the 2015 Autosport International Show. The car suggests a fully new type of performance when driving, as the fabricators say. No wonder – the customization is Ariel’s lineaments.

Atom-based, the model features a 2.4-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine taken from Honda mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and would demonstrate the outstanding result of 60mph in 3.5 seconds reaching the top speed of 125mph. The long-stroke unit produces 290hp with 251 feet of the torque output – such juicy results make the Nomad one of the most impressive lightweight on-roaders. As for the design, the buggy shares the same with the Atom offering huger wheels, plastic body panels, reinforced tube frames, more powerful suspension and updated chassis to prevail the rough terrains. As the result, the Birmingham meets the model able to rival with off-road famous rally versions in motorsport arena. The Ariel Nomad would be on sales this summer with the pricing tag from £30,000 or $41, 500. As a matter of fact, the Atom is is greater by one third, so the Nomad appears to be more advantageous offer for this price. However, one should remember this price is basic and doesn’t include the plenty of options Ariel offers to its buyers.
