Aston Martin Expands the Vanquish Zagato Line-Up With Speedster and Shooting Brake
Remember the breathtakingly magnificent Vanquish Zagato Coupe from the limited-edition Zagato family debuted last year? Well, it will just joined by two latest stunning Aston Martin monikers, a Speedster and a Shooting Brake, to complete the line-up. Technically, Aston just hints at the latter, as only an artistic sketch of the Shooting Brake has been rendered and released. As for the Speedster, it will make its debut in full feather at Pebble Beach.
Resembling closely the Zagato Coupe, the 580hp Speedster utilizes the same 5.9L V12, naturally aspirated, and coupled with Touchtronic III transmission. With a top speed about 197mph, the soft-top Zagato version can sprint from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. But the main piece of the two-seater is surely its stunning exterior, with carbon fibre body panels and a ‘double bubble’ iconic roof. The Speedster gets a fresh front fascia, new fenders, Vulcan-inspired taillights and the massive front grille adorned with 3D “Z” motifs.
Just the same limited edition for the Zagato family: there are only 99 Volantes and 99 Coupes, now production will add 28 Speedsters and 99 Shooting Brakes, so Zagato will offer 325 exclusive Vanquish-based models total. By the way, all the examples have been already sold.
