Bye-bye, Scion FR-S! Welcome Toyota 86!
Increased power and a revamped face – these alterations the car maker offers for the 2017 Toyota 86. The upgraded model should replace the Scion FR-S due to its negative fame. Toyota rolls on the 2017 86 gimmick at the NY Auto Show today, and with the latest upgrades, it’s odds-on that the newcomer will win the place of the face-lifted Scion FR-S.
The current exterior design of the 2017 86 model actually resembles the way going FR-S closely with a larger front grille and a redesigned modern bumper. The predator-looking model boasts a new set of adjusted alloy wheels and new LED headlights and taillights (rather a fresh idea as the previous clear lights looked a bit chintzy).
As a result, it looks unambiguously more premium-version than before. However, performance is still believed to be the area of improvement. How about a Turbo-engine, hey? The 86 is as before equipped with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder power unit delivering 205 ponies. In the same way as before, it still bedazzles in this price segment as it produces 100hp per liter.
