Cadillac Escala Concept Revealed, Luxury Rules
Caddy got the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to the full having revealed the fabulous Cadillac Escala concept car there. The Escala does not even remotely resemble the existing Escalade car exterior – the name refers “scale” in Spanish, and there we have it. “Nothing less will do”, Johan de Nysschen, the Cadillac CEO, explained, having added that the concept is being arranged for production. The Escala actually features the crucially new design reflecting a design strategy “luxury can whisper”. Mm, gorgeous, and definitely for some really high-end clientele.
Now, when you all realize how badass the Escala concept looks, let us cast a glance at the details. According to De Nysschen, the current project has been considered as an “opportunity for designers to flex their creative muscles”. OK, then, the exterior design language bears something entirely different reflecting a uniquely American style and yet at the same time familiar Caddy treats. It seems that Caddy is getting closer to the reality with this four-door concept coupe. The new, revamped front-end look seems to be a choice that will appear on forthcoming Caddy’s production models. Inside, a panoramic glass roof along with curved OLED digital screens and wood patterns is believed to be an interior highlight; on top of that, the entire interior is finished in monochrome mixed wool cloth and leather.
The Escala shares the same Omega platform with the CT6, but the car is a bit longer and wider in dimensions. Under the hood, it features a 4.2-litre twin-turbocharged V8 pumping around some 500 ponies there.
