Citroen Rolled out its 2018 C5 Aircross in China
At the Shanghai Motor Show, the all-new 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross debuted – the same old story in a new setting, actually. The concept features an edgy plug-in technology with two petrol options special for China; for Europe, the C5 Aircross will come equipped with petrol and diesel options together. The production version is the first Citroen model to boast plug-in tech ever.
In terms of exterior, same old, you know, getting by. With styling mostly borrowed from the 2015 Aircross five-door hatch concept, the mid-size SUV faces only minor changes as for the surfacing spot, with triple air intakes, 22-inch wheels, a distinctive grille and LED headlights. The C5 Aircross underpins the PSA Group’s EMP2 platform and so-called “Progressive Hydraulic Cushion” suspension system; either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission will be available. Opting for a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine will deliver 165bhp while choosing a 2.0-liter power unit will make all 200bhp coming with front-wheel-drive.
Sales will kick off in China in the second half of 2017.
