Diesel Show: Mercedes-Benz Brings Diesel-Powered X 350d Matic to Geneva
It will arrive in European dealerships in mid-2018; pricing will start at $65,200.
Only several months after the debut of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class pickup, the automaker adds a diesel version to the lineup applying a series of new engines at the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to the new engines, beefy 19-inch wheels and a host of trinkets for the X-Class, the X 350d Matic gets a selector that lets drivers choose between Comfort, Eco, Sport, Manual and Offroad modes, and two - Power and Progressive – trim choices to anticipate customers’ needs.
Under the hood of the range-topping premium pickup lies a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 engine mated to a 7G-Tronic Plus (in other words, to a seven-speed automatic transmission) and all-wheel-drive. The diesel engine delivers 255bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque; as said, the sprint from 0 to 100kmph takes 7.9 seconds, and top speed is 205kmph.
