Elegant, Yet Energetic: Maserati Unveiled 2019 Levante GTS at Goodwood
The Levante lineup has been now joined by two newcomers – first, the V8-powered Levante Trofeo, was unveiled at the New York Auto Show this year, and the second, the range-topping Levante SUV, the 2019 Levante GTS, has made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at Thursday. Both performance versions are being introduced for 2019, joining the lineup’s fold.
The Levante GTS benefits from the same Ferrari-assembled 3.8-liter biturbo V8, but it doesn’t lose any torque: offering 550 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque, it is available from 2,500 rpm to 5,000. Accoding to Maserati, this sporty, elegant beastie will feature a top speed of 181 mph, reaching 62mph from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic; a rear-biased AWD system is included. The chassis and adaptive suspension have been also retuned for sportier dynamics.
Inside, the Levante GTS stands out with carbon fiber trim, leather interior package mated to Alcantara throughout, Integrated Vehicle Control system as standard, to better stability. For the exterior, the GTS features a distinctive look with a set of standard 20-inch wheels, a jaw-dropping black-trimmed grille, sport pedals, and ventilated sports seats.
