Ferrari showcased its follow-on sport 488 car debut under the name of 2017 Spider at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Being formerly known as the Modificata ( Ferrari 458M), it is believed to be a redesigned 458 Italia convertible version. The 488 Spider can sprint from 0 to 60mph in 3 seconds blasting to 124mph in just 8.7 seconds. The turbo Spider is powered by a seven-speed gearbox and a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 unit producing 560 pound-feet of torque and 661 horsepower – just the same figures the 488 GTB bears.

The Spider’s body is Scaglietti-designed, with an iconic aerodynamics featuring all the latest Ferraris. However, the 488 Spider possesses an aluminum space frame, with optimized intakes and a stiffer chassis compared to its predecessor, the famous legendary 458 Spider model, to reduce mass and improve the driving balance. Apart from this, the Frankfurter Spider distinguishes the retractable hardtop roof design interacting with a glass wind-stop and folding away in 14 seconds.

The turbo sports car features also one of the latest Ferrari’s innovations, the SSC2 standing for Side Slip Angle Control System, checking the driving stability and traction. The Ferrari pops the top adding the new Apple Car Play System to support the integration.
