Fisker Hints at All-Electric ‘eMotion’ Future
First teaser shots of forthcoming all-electric vehicle have been revealed by Fisker Inc. The new company headed by Henrik Fisker, a world-known car designer, announced another Tesla Model S rival, called the EMotion. Last month, Fisker promised this four-door concept car to be unveiled in late summer; but now the company is teasing potential customers with the first actual shots of the car.
The pure-electric “butterfly-doored” concept will feature an ambitious 400 miles range and a new powertrain using hybrid supercapacitors, or electrochemical battery components with a much higher capacity. As a result, the eMotion car would get over 400 miles on a single charge accelerating a top speed of 161mph. The frond-end black motif houses a LIDAR sensor, a high-performance system for autonomous driving, behind a tinted screen. Along with this, the car features front-and-rear carbon components including a lower carbon diffuser, to enhance aerodynamics.
