Ford Developed A Next-Level Extreme Performance Package for 2018 Mustang GT
Ford Mustang engineering team has delivered a new promising performance package for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT. Dubbed the GT Performance Pack Level 2, this special version bridges the gap between the basic-level package and the extreme GT350. Coming with all the standard features from the Performance Pack 1, the Level 2 variant will be offered only for the manual vehicles, with the pricing about $6,500. The tidbits include a limited slip differential, massive 305\30 ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 high-performance tires, wider – 10.5x19 front and 11x19 rear – wheels, Magneride suspension, bigger brakes and some aero upgrades.
To boast more grip, the package gets stiffer anti-roll bars, a unique Boss 302 Laguna Seco front splitter along with the rear spoiler, and the retuned chassis. The 5.0-liter V8 engine remains unchanged making the same 420 lb-ft of torque and 460hp. Despite the fresh package being not track-targeted, it won around 3.5 seconds from the lap time of the Level 1 package.
