Ford Unveils MPV Edition F-150, Kansas-Built
To commemorate the Kansas City Royals 2015 WS Championship, Ford has revealed an extremely exclusive series of the F-150 pickup. Called an MPV Edition truck, the serial model will be built at the GM assembly plant in Kansas. The idea of such a model roots back in 1985, the very year when the Royals illustriously won the series. In honor of this, Ford unveiled a splendid Ranger MPV. The 2016 MPV Edition carries on this tradition.
The new magnificent truck is promoted by Salvador Perez, the KC Royals catcher, along with Bret Saberhagen, the triumphant #18 Royals pitcher who promoted the 1985 Ranger MPV. Well, traditions should be respected. The MPV Edition F-150 is offered with the optional chrome package including a chrome large grille and bumpers, a spray-in bedliner and unique fender badging. The XLT Crew Cab trim is used as a basis for the limited model.
Customers could choose the exterior paint (Blue and White colors are available) and the engine option (The Turbo V6 will be offered in a 2.7-litre as well as a 3.5-litre; the V8 will be available in 5.0-litre version). The number of units for sale will be limited to 300 only, with the rough price of mid-$40,000.
