Four Strategies, One Galibier at a Time
Wolfgang Dürheimer, the President of Bugatti Automobiles and CEO of Bentley Motors Limited, hinted recently at a new strategic alternative, the ultra-luxury Galibier sedan, to take customers’ breath away in the short run. According to an interview to Car and Driver, Dürheimer claimed the company weighs at least for strategic steps to take some unique Bugatti features to a new high-performance level. All of them, he said, are sensational, including the Galibier. The latter is intended to succeed Chiron; the first models will be delivered to customers in early fall of 2016.
However, the engineering team is still working at potential maximum downforce in terms of easy handling. The 1500-hp baby-monster was considered to be a challenging job for these dudes, so the next challenge will be 1350 ponies, or even more impressive figures. Bugatti yet has revealed a possible version of the Chiron. Whether it would be a high-speed hybrid or a track-focused heavy-weight, a Chiron behemot? Following “a sequential pattern”, as Dürheimer said, one can hardly deny that a next strategic Bugatti alternative will be, if nothing else, gorgeously sparkling.
