Getting Spirited with Renault Sandero RS 2.0
The Brazilian-made hot Sandero hatchback gets a limited edition version, for Brazil only, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, a diamond-black badge, wheel centre caps and red calipers. First unveiled at the Renault Track Day, the Renault Sandero RS 2.0 Racing Spirit is now making waves at the current Buenos Aires Motor Show, and it’s a tough racing-inspired cookie.
First off, let’s start with the exterior. Stripped-down, the RS 2.0 wears the F1-styled treatment including fiery-red brake calipers, the red spoiler, old-but-gold stylish exhaust tips along with 17-inch alloys and branded side stripes with flag pattern. The carmaker adds a numbered plaque as production will be limited to 1,500 units only. Powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, the 145-hp Sandero RS milks a 125mph top speed sprinting 0-60 time in 8 seconds. It’s barely enough for Nugburgring, yet all it takes is getting some old-school driving experience. Will you buy it?
