A Grand Premiere of the 2017 Grand Sport
2016 Geneva Motor Show opened its doors – let’s roll! A large array of the automotive world premieres is now in all its glory here, and we are happy to delight you with some brief reviews. So many gimmicks for cars junkies, let’s pop with the Chevrolet!
2017 Chevrolet Corvette debuted today on the floor of the Palexpo. Codenamed the Grand Sport, the U.S. high-flyer will be offered in Coupe and Convertible body forms. These styles, though, would be available to order not until the mid-2016. The striking Gloss-Black model is powered with a 6.2-litre V8 rather standard engine promising to provide 460hp totally. The aerodynamic properties are provided, hence, by upgraded GS brakes, larger and more high-output rear rotors and Pilot Super Sport tires by Michelin. The GM’s gimmick shares the performance base with the C7 model along with the optional Z07 and Z51 packages.
The Grand Sport runs with the Stingray’s paint palette, multi-colored hash-striped fender details (the choice of colors is optional) and hash-marked graphics. The exterior design is believed to be heavily Heritage-inspired, with “almost endless” choice of colors and options, Mr. Harlan Charles, the Corvette production manager, claimed.
