A Hot Shot 2017 Abarth 124 Spider in Rally Edition Debuts
Abarth came with two sensational humdingers having hit Geneva Motors. Fiat Spider-based 124 lightweight convertible in black-and-white wrapping debuts in a more aggressive version. However, along with a stunning roadster, Abarth rolls on another premiere, a mind-boggling 124 Spider Rally Edition. Well, the Scorpion strikes double!
The notable sockeroo appears to look criminally fabulous with its race-popping interior with a composite rigid hardtop, a unique steering wheel and typically racing red-over-yellow livery. The 124 Spider is equipped with a 1.8-litre Turbo engine with a direct fuel injection spitting out 300hp at 6500rpm. An enhanced performance is indisputable; the rear wheels are powered via the 6-speed sequential gearbox. The model has been significantly reinforced to provide stress resistance and meet the topmost safety standards including a supreme safety roll cage. Oops, a bummer. The most distressing issue is you can’t get this rally gimmick if you are not the racer rallying in the 2017 FIA R-GT category.
