Karma Automotive Announcing Aliso Special Edition For $145,000
Making a special edition model even more exclusive? Karma seems to be real big on building such a luxurious sheet of metal, making them yet extremely limited – just 15 units are scheduled to be built, with a tear-jerking price of $145,000. What does this point get to you considering the fact a base Revero costs $15,000 less than the Aliso bearing all the same specs?
The Aliso model takes its name from a town in Southern California drawing design cues from aesthetics of local beaches. That’s why the exterior paint choice is distinguished by shimmering white-sand-beach Laguna Pearl while the interior plays with Sea Horizon theme finished in leather upholstery and burl wood treatment. On top of that, the Aliso will get custom carbon-fiber ‘CarboTec’ wheels, a set of Brembo brake dark orange anodized calipers and special branded badging.
Mechanically, the base Revero model holds steady: the plug-in Aliso hybrid rolls on hybrid powertrain which includes a pair of electric motors mated to a 2.0-liter EcoTec gasoline engine. Totally, it produces around 400 horsepower and 900 pound-feet of torque with a top speed of 125mph and 5.5 secs required to jump over 60mph from a standstill. Are any aesthetic changes worth extra cash? It’s pretty much up to you.
