Kia Kills Off the Forte Koup
At the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, Kia displayed the updated 2017 Forte sedan along with the compact Forte5 hatchback, but not a word about a refreshed two-door version. Now we do see what the reason is. According to Cars Direct, the Forte Koup is announced to be discontinued due to cheesy sales. As a result, the Honda Civic coupe is now considered to be the last one in the corresponding C-segment.
Such a decision makes sense. The Honda Civic coupe definitely gets the better of the Koup; it is juicier, more fuel-efficient and powerful. Besides that, the Civic is lower priced and offers more tech options beating the Koup in terms of the interior design and more profit-making resale price. So if you are doing some thinking about getting a Kia Koup, you should better snap it up.
