Lexus LS 500 Gets F Sport Variant
Lexus always offers a blend of luxury and performance in an exquisite package. This time, on the eve of the upcoming NYIAS, the LS 500 carmaker’s flagship sedan is given a notable update, so meet the F Sport LS 500 version. The model is expected to hit sales dealers this year.
Lexus focused on making the X Sport treatment more comfortable and refined. In terms of exterior, the model bears some styling cues such as a tweaked grille (it took about five month to create it!), 20-inch alloy wheels, race-inspired trunk moldings and rocker panels. The team of designers and engineers elaborated a special handling package dubbed the Lexus Dynamic Handling (available exclusive to the gasoline version). The latter is equipped with active rear steering, a sport-tined air suspension, an active stabilizer and variable gear-ration steering.
Inside the model, the attention to detail is truly eye-opening. The badge features an upgraded steering wheel, redesigned front sporty seats, aluminum-made acceleration pedals, and double-stitched upholstery along with the LFA-inspired movable speedometer.
The X Sport lives up to this name on roads, and there is a definitely performance-focused version of the LS 500 flagship in the lineup. The powertrain paired with 10-speed automatic gearbox delivers 415 horses if coming with a twin-turbo V6, and 295hp if powered by a 3.5-liter hybrid.
