Off With The Line! Mercedes-Benz Discontinued Its Luxury G500 4×42 Production
One of the most insane off-roaders, the iconic Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42 SUV will be discontinued soon. If customers want to opt for a model, they should place their orders till the end of this October, with the starting $275,000 price. As a farewell send-off, the carmaker will also offer a special version, i.e. 1:18 scale G500 4×42 range-topping models for heartiest fans.
Introduced in late 2015, at the Geneva Motor Show, the luxury SUV just recently entered the U.S. market this, 2017, year. Fitted with a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 that makes a whopping 422hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, the ultra-aggressive off-roader is known for its huge portal axes and mega-ground clearance of up to 450mm allow to tackle over even the roughest terrain – not to mention large Sport Mode 22-inch wheels with adjustable damping. There’s still the more practical, shorter G63 AMG and more powerful G65 AMG, though.
