Lotus has unveiled its absolute best, the most powerful and quickest version of V6-powered Exige ever designed. The Lotus Exige Sport 380 is proudly considered to be the most extreme as well as aggressive Exige yet, having developed a “supercar killer” reputation. Is it on the level?
Powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged Toyota V6, the latest Exige 380 delivers 375 ponies accelerating 60mph in 3.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 178mph. In addition to a reduced curb weight (2, 425 pounds) and extra power, this version is all about lightness due to its new aerodynamic carbon fiber package. The latter includes a modified front splitter, polycarbonate rear window, a massive rear wing, with an optional carbon roof panel, to increase downforce.
Customers can opt for Alcantara learher or suede for the interior, along with ten various exterior variants available. The base pricing tag wil start from $84,000, and it is rather expensive. However, the Exige Sport 380 won’t hop the Atlantic – unfortunately for US Lotus fans. It is expected to hit only continental dealers at the start of 2017.
