New Look But Same Powertrain, Says Infiniti About Next-Gen SUV
What will the next-gen fill-size SUV by Infiniti look like? The QX80 Monograph Concept that made its world debut at the last New York Auto Show knows the answer providing the future way of Infiniti’s design evolution. It comes to blacked-out A-pillars, quirky chrome accents, slimmer headlights, a massive double-arch grille, a bit wider and taller, along with bizarre two-tone 26-inch wheels. The Monograph is scheduled to go into production by the end of 2017 featuring the same successful powetrain and architecture, though.
According to Roland Kruger, the president of the Infiniti Motor Company, the current architecture fits perfectly into the automotive market. Due to this, the QX80 Monograph will keep on the same underpinning along with the current 5.6-liter 400-hp V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and sharing the trouble-proof body-on-frame platform with the Nissan Patrol.
