Upscale EVs seem to capture the entire world. Premium all-electric vehicles coming from BMW, Porsche or Mercedes-Benz are going to be launched, let alone for FFZero1 Concept or Tesla. Hyundai Motor runs level with other brands with its luxury marque; an all-electric Hyundai Genesis executive will maintain the future of the automotive industry.
According to the words of Manfred Fitzgerald, the Hyundai Motor Co Senior Vice President, the company is serious about introducing the EV under the Genesis brand to challenge luxury segment competitors. At the 2016 Busan Motor Show, taking place in South Korea, Fitzgerald told the reporters about Hyundai Motor’s ambitious plans in the long-term vision. The EV expected will seem to boast the alternative powertrain featuring a diesel unit, in addition to the gasoline model. Along with the challenging Genesis EV, the HM Company intends to expand its lineup with a fuel cell vehicle and regular upscale hybrids. Fitzgerald didn’t reveal, though, any specs, body type or launch date of the forthcoming EV.
