Nissan Showing the Open-Top Version of 2018 Nissan Leaf
In order to celebrate the nice sales number of 100,000 Nissan Leaf units, the Japanese automotive giant marks the milestone with building the droptop Leaf. However, let us note that it comes to a one-off convertible variant, and it is pretty worth attention. The vehicle made its first appearance at the current forum on zero-emission society in Tokyo, Japan.
The pure-electric original hatch drops its rear doors, along with the roof; the fresh model doesn’t seem to feature a folding mechanism, so the 2018 Nissan Leaf Open Car – quite a good choice, isn’t it? – fits perfectly for hot summer driving. Apparently, the powertrain keeps the same, as well as the propulsion system. Nissan also said it has no plans to make this open-top four-seater a fully production model. Just like a for-fun creation, they say.
