Up a Notch: VW Improves Up!
VW rolled out several super-druper teasers for this Geneva, among them there are a compact crossover debuting in Switzerland along with an extremely updated Tiguan. Besides this, the German carmaker announced an enhanced Up! for the event. Pity, but the advanced model will not be launched for the USA.
The Up! has been essentially updated, with a modified renovated engine and a spectacularly huge pack of personalization options. The latter includes several palette colors for the body and the roof, 10 refreshed design choices for the dash panel, a fine-tuned stunning audio system as well. The tuned engine appears to be ultimately improved; now the VW Up! is equipped with a 1.0-litre Turbo producing of total 118 pound-feet of torque and 88 hp. Go figure – this three-cylinder engine is arguably considered to be the most powerful beastie for the vehicle.
However, it barely redeems the Up! to gain the slowpoke character: the model can sprint from 0 to 60mph per almost 10 seconds. Going to fixing it, VW?
