One Take Is Not Enough: BMW X6 M Wears Unique Double-Tuned Treatment
German tuning house Manhart Performance teamed Carlex Design, a Polish-based car interior design company, to get their hands on already fabulous BMW X6 M. The results are pretty impressive; the luxurious SUV went through a performance makeover and received a new carbon aerodynamic body kit, not to mention a racing-inspired black-and-yellow interior.
Outside the vehicle, we can easily spot a new hood including air vents, the carbon front spoiler, a predatory diffuser, the deep black kidneys and the spoiler lip for the tailgate. Tuners from Manhart Performance added bigger wheels, a retuned suspension, and a new exhaust in order to improve a sound. The interior, made by Carlex Design, featuring Alcantara and top-notch smooth Merino leather, adorned by rich gold accents and golden ‘Carlex’ plaques throughout, fits the narrative of the unique design setup perfectly. The standard X6 is powered by a stock 4.4-liter biturbo V8 that is good for 575 horses and 553 lb-ft of torque; the tuned version has been upgraded to beat extreme power levels, with larger turbochargers, a Manhart cooling system, downpipes and a carbon ait intake system. For the final touch, the uprated engine cranks out 823 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque.
