Porsche Is Going to Reveal Speedster 911 at Frankfurt
At the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche is rumoured to show off its fresh version of the current 911 generation, the Speedster 911 drop-top, in the extensive lineup. Designed to pay a tribute to the iconic Porsche 356, known as one of the most Porsche’s collection items, the convertible will be exclusive-edition as the carmaker is going to build only 356 units there.
The Speedster moniker may mark the end of the current 991.2-generation, along the lines of the 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster that marked the end of its generation in a similar way. The convertible will allegedly underpin the 911 GTS Cabrio’s platform featuring at the same time another type of body. If the expectations are true, the Speedster 911 will boast a top speed of at least 190mph, with the engine developing at least 450 ponies, and a unique body kit.
