Viper Waves Off with Five Exclusive Edition Models
Viper fans are supposed be in a blue funk to learn the sad news. The iconic Dodge Viper’s days are reported to be numbered. Dodge intends to cease Viper’s production in 2017 so this year would be final for the quarter-century run. All-American sports cars’ age becomes a thing of the past. Those were the days, and to memorize it, FCA announces five special limited edition models keeping the modern muscle cars’ spirit alive. Here are they: the 1:28 Edition ACR, Dodge Dealer Edition ACR, GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, Snakeskin Edition GTC, and VoooDoo II Edition ACR.
Each model pays tribute to the most distinct or exotic production cars or ever color schemes by Dodge. The eye-popping red-striped 1:28 Edition features black exterior with bespoke red accents paying homage to the single lap record in October 2015 in a Viper ACR. The distinctive blue-and-white GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR roots back to the iconic 1998 GT2 Championship Edition. Almost the same paint combination is played back in the Dodge Dealer ACR, plus Red stripe in ACR badge. The spectacular metallic graphite VoooDoo II Edition with sill decals is designed after the 2010 VoooDoo Edition. And the dramatic black-striped Snakeskin Edition GTC in Green (Slytherin only!) derived from the 2010 Snakeskin ACR.
Dodge promises more than 50 million one-off build configs as for the last 2017 year of production, FCA offers its in-house customization program on top of this. So beginning from June 24th, 2016, customers could opt for the featured exclusive model in a serialized panel badge.
