When V12 Churning Out 790 Horsepower – Ferrari Unveils Its Latest Cannon
Maranello does intrigue again with the latest modernized flagship coupe ahead of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Let us meet: the awesome and heart-breaking 812 Superfast supercar (too much “super”? not the case, believe us!) is already claimed to be the most powerful marks production version ever. Intended to replace the F12 Berlinetta, the coupe features the updated, sleek but rather plain design recalling the iconic 1969 365 GTB4 model. Finished in a special Rosso Settanta launch color, to mark the company’s 70th anniversary date, this two-seater differs essentially in terms of steering boasting EPS (in fact, it is the first Ferrari’s car to use electric power steering).
Power comes from a 6.5-liter V12 producing around 800 ponies when revving the engine to 8,500rpm. Due to the most powerful Maranello’s road-car power unit, naturally aspirated, the supercar takes only 2.9 seconds accelerating 0-60mph and reaching a top speed of 211mph.
