Yenko 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Explains How to Pack 800 Ponies Under the Hood
Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), New Jersey-based company, unveiled a new horsepower monster at the recent media event. Codenamed Yenko, the SVE’s version of Corvette Grand Sport is supercharged and packs 800 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque. The Yenko newcomer is expected to make its public debut at the forthcoming Barret-Jackson Scottsdale sale, and you’ll need big bucks to order the package with the eye-watering pricing tag of $46,000. Or, and, of course, you will have to provide a Corvette Grand Sport (the base price starts at $66,450) to be modified. Snap it up! SVE is going to build only 50 Yenko\SC units.
Under the hood, the Yenko\SC is equipped with a 6.8-liter LT1 paired with either 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. Both coupe and convertible will be available to be chosen. On top of that, the SVE’s version will feature the Yenko exterior and interior badging, forged aluminum pistons, forged steel rods and crankshaft, Brembo brakes and magnetorheological suspension.
