2019 Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster Increasing Horsepower, Now 515HP!
Slotting in between the GT and GT S, the Nercedes-AMG latest GT flagship will hit U.S. dealers in late 2018 sporting a form of a roadster. Featuring just the same interiors like its drop-top line’s neighboroughs, along with the brake setup and wheels, it packs the narrow body, the Panamericana-inspired grille, a fifth – RACE – driving mode, and the unbeatable rear-wheel steering.
In terms of powertrain, the performance-packed 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster benefits from the same 4.0-liter biturbo V8 as the other GT models packing now 494 lb-ft of torque and 515 horses. Power comes via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a rear-axle locking differential to the rear wheels. Being a total hoot to drive, it will take just 3.7 seconds to charge to 60mph from the standstill topping out at 192mph. Middle means middle: the GT is slower with 3.9 seconds and 188mph, but the GT C beats the middle drop-topper with 3.6 seconds and 196mph, respectively.
