Karma Revero Arriving Dealers This Month
Karma Automotive (formerly Fisker Automotive) seems to make a ringing comeback with its first seductive-styled vehicle. The company declared itself bankrupt in 2013; then, the Fisker’s assets were purchased by Wanxiang Group, a Chinese-backed corporation. Due to this, Karma could re-launch its long-awaited luxury model, the Henrik Fisker’splug-in hybrid. Now dubbed the Revero (and looking nearly identical to the original Karma), the four-door sedan will use electricity, gasoline and solar power to run.
According to a new TV spot aired during the 2017 U.S. Polo Championship, first deliveries (based on customer’s pre-orders) are just around the corner, so the re-introduced ultra-luxury sedan is set to hit dealers this month. Packed with a 21.4 kWh lithium-ion battery and a GM-sourced turbocharged four-cylinder engine, tte Revero boasts 403 horsepower on RWD drivetrain hitting an electric-only range of 50 miles. A total driving range is announced to be about 300 miles, with an electronically-limited top speed of 125 miles per hour. The California-based startup will ask $131, 400 for the base Revero model.
