Limited Edition: Bentley Introducing A Special Version of Mulsanne
Onyx-painted and finished in aluminum brightwork – in such a way a luxury automaker shows the 2018 Bentley Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner, aimed to mark the company’s 100th anniversary. In fact, Bentley will celebrate its centenary next year, but the party is already getting started. The release is a nice way to pay tribute to Walter Owen (W.O.) Bentley, the company’s founder: all the hundred of special-edition Mulsannes will get a piece from the original Bentley 8 Litre GK 706 model, the last car the founder has personally designed for the company in 1930.
Customers will get a choice from Standard Wheelbase, Extended Wheelbase and Speed versions. The interior design follows the early 1930’s style, accented by Dark Satin Burr Walnut veneers, Fireglow lambswool rugs, the branded signature stitched into the seats, Beluga detailing, the hand-crafted cocktail cabinet containing a piece of the original W.O.Bentley’s 8 Litre exact crankshaft. While designing the interior, aluminum and four different kinds of wood have been used. Outside, the sedan features a chrome grille and surround slatted vertically, Beluga Black wheels, the limited-edition badging and the chrome strip running around the hood. The public unveiling is expected at the upcoming Monterey Car Week, next month.
