Maserati Takes Steps to Electrify the Lineup After 2019
Let’s be clear: electric vehicles will change the automotive segment in the future. After Volvo and BMW, Maserati seems to join the electrification gets-together claiming more than half of its line up to be electrified by 2019. According to Sergio Marchionne, FCA CEO, the brand is going to take some significant steps on integrating electrified powertrains into the entire lineup by 2022. After completing the next two models, Maserati will launch fully-functional all-electric concepts. It is whispered that a production version of its brilliant concept, the Alfieri, could be the first brand’s challenge on electric car, as well as the GranTurismo is also being considered.
