Meet the All-New Skoda Karoq, Finally Arrived in Sweden
Skoda has just revealed its new compact SUV after its journey camouflaged. Just right, it comes to the all-new Skoda Karoq that was finally introduced to the public on May, 18, in Stockholm, Sweden. Karoq, the Kodiak’s smaller brother, is expected to replace the Yeti model and go on sale from the second half of 2017.
In terms of mechanics, Karoq features five powertrains as well as both petrol and diesel fuel trims; the engines are paired to a six-speed manual and a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Choosing the petrol lineup, you could get a 147bhp 1.5-liter four-cylinder TSI or an 113bhp 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine; opting for a diesel trim, the company will offer a 1.6-liter four-cylinder TDI topping a power of 113bph or a tried-and-tested 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo TDI boasting a top power of 147bhp.
Offering a completely digital cockpit, Skoda Karoq loads plenty of safety systems including Driver Alert, Blind Spot Detect, City Emergency Brake with protection of pedestrians, Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Sign Recognition. The five-mode drive select system is also available; Off-Road, Snow and Eco driving modes are among them. VarioFlex system could adjust or even remove seats individually; 9.2-inch Columbus infotainment navigation system comes with 64 GB storage, with a remote control via Wi-Fi and a media-command app.
