Saying Goodbye to the Last Phantom VII
Marking the end of a 13-years production era, the final seventh-generation Phantom VII to roll out of the factory in Goodwood, England. The King is dead – Long Live the King: Rolls-Royce is actually working on the upcoming brand-new model, the Phantom VIII underpinned by an aluminum-intensive architecture. The new Phantom King is expected to debut till the end of the year.
To build the last Phantom, the luxury manufacturer got inspiration from 1930s ocean liners resembling a classical nautical theme. Built on an extended wheelbase platform, the ritzy model is powered by a powerful 6.75-liter V12 delivering 453 horsepower paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Being all about the naval-inspired art-deco style, it features the powder blue all-leather interior along with one-off wooden trims depicting retro cruise ocean liners. The dash clock with a 24 built-in time-zone dial reflects the same theme. Backing up the Blue Velvet paint scheme, the bespoke Phantom was definitely created to travel classy.
