On the Track: Chevy Geared Up Camaro ZL1 for NASCARCh

Chevrolet Team drivers can hardly wait to get their hands on the freshest 2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1 to be used in the NASCAR Cup Series for the next season. Aimed to replace the SS model, a hot-looking race moniker has made waves around either excited ChevyTeam drivers or hearted brand’s fans. GM asked Jimmie Johnson, an iconic seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, to take part in the announcement.
For Cup Series, the stock track-tested car is equipped with a tube-framed chassis and a 5.9L V8 to put out monstrous 900 horsepower providing plenty of downforce there.
The race ZL1 car will make its official debut at 2018 Daytona Speedweeks joining the Camaro SS in a national NASCAR series and hitting the race track next winter.
