Now It’s Official: 2022 Genesis GV70 Finally Boasts Fresh Engine Specs We’ve Been Waiting About
A wide pack of fresh performance data and available options has been finally revealed about the compact Genesis GV70 crossover. After its preview in October, we’ve known about its clear lines and pretty good interior styling, not to mention on the official price starting at $39,000. But Genesis kept silence on the details and official specs. Until now.
An all-new model for the Genesis brand, the more compact GV70 should provide the same engine choices as the larger GV80. According to the engine specs, the Korean SUV will provide a biturbo 3.5-liter V-6 on higher trim levels or a turbocharged 2.5-liter I4 on the base level. The base four-cylinder engine will boast 300 HP and 311 lb-feet while the V-6 will feature hellish 375 HP and 391 pound-feet of torque as the larger GV80. All the GV70 trim levels will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard as well as both AWD and RWD will undoubtedly be available.
Unfortunately, the fuel-economy rates estimated haven’t still been released. Hope, we’ll get ‘em closer to GV70’s on-sale date expected in the second half of 2021.
